The [Joe Moe] Winter Series
This is a series of three tournaments held yearly for the LI Bassmasters.
In 2011, for the first tme, it was held as an open event. Lakes in the series were Blydenburgh (10/16/11), Forge Pond (10/23/11), and Fort Pond (11/13/11).
Sixteen fishermen entered the tournament. The final tournament was on
Fort Pond. White caps and wind tested the fisherman. In the end Greg Kiessling and his partner Eric Fieldstadt finished in first place. They had a nice bag off five fish weighing 10lbs 14oz, to take 1st with a total weight of 25lbs 5oz. Jay Stiklickas and George Kowalinski finished in second with three fish weighing 5lbs 8oz, for a total weight of 24lbs 14oz. O.B.and Ed finished in third with a five fish limit of 8lbs 9oz, for a total weight of 22lbs 11oz. Greg K and Eric F had the Super Lunker weighing 4lbs 5oz. Thanks to all who fished and we hope to see you back next year.
